Employee Attitude Survey


Definition, Explanation

For many companies, the attitude survey has established as an instrument for measuring the employees' contentment respective the “company athmosphere”. It is also a good way to direct employees' attention to certain issues and thus induce a change.

The employees contentment analysis is done anonymously with questionnaires, maybe online. Within a company agreement, the management and the works council choose the content and the questions. Results of the evaluation are given to executives and the works council who are then responsible for communicating them to the employees.

Tips, Checklist

  • Participate in the survey. It is a chance to actively express oneself and achieve improvements in the company athmosphere
  • Be honest in your answers
  • Talk about the results with colleagues and make it an opportunity to positively influence your workplace and your surrounding
  • If you criticize, be constructive
  • Make your answers relate to workplaces and executives' leading style. You may deny an answer. Your participation as well, is voluntary, nobody can force it on you
