Rules for using this website

Definition, explanation

In our rules, we explain the structure of the webpages and inform you about how and why we choose our partners. In line with our intention to brief-pack existing information and make it available most directly, we also link related information sources: labour law, articles, addresses, literature, publications.

Structure

Working life can be divided into phases which we use as rubrics: working start, working life, working breaks and working end. Within these, corresponding topics are found. Rubrics "From A to Z" helps to quickly find working-topics sorted alphabetically.

Structure of the single term pages

A single term page is the main page on a specific term, as listed in “From A to Z”. These pages always comprise

  • Definition, explanation
which gives general explanation and connections with other terms related to the topic
  • Tips, checklist
providing a compressed list of instructions, or recommended order of doing things
  • Labour law
containing found court decisions related to the topic, in brief
  • Articles
Reports from the media, newspapers and magazines, also some articles matching the topic are provided along with a direct link to the source. Needless to say, here, no completeness can be guaranteed. Up-to-dateness depends on the release-date of the article and the recent changes regarding the content.
  • Addresses
Authorities, institutions and companies dealing mainly with what the article is about are listed here along with links to their websites.
  • Literature
Here you find literature titles which have been read by us or by our users and have been found useful supports to get into the matter. We link you directly to Amazon for your further information and ordering.
  • Publications
Since there are various good information by ministries, institutions and companies available for free in PDF-format or as a print-version, we list the respective ordering conditions. Unfortunately, because of those webpages' structure, not always are direct links possible.

Those rubrics are contained dependent on the contents on the topic.

Financing

Today, we make these pages on our own initiative and provide them for free for all users. They are run on our own expenses. For financing this offer, we place advertisements that are matching the single page topics. Help us continue offering this information platform by clicking the advertisements.
